Michigan Gov Gretchen Whitmer banned motorboats for weeks and suddenly lifted the ban just before her husband Mark Mallory tried to get his motorboat in the water before Memorial Day.
But because of the three-week delay, they told him it wasn’t possible because they simply had too many people ahead of him. He then asked if it made any difference that he was married to the governor. They did not launch his boat.
It reminds me of a story Sammy Davis Jr once told. (Sammy was the most diverse talent of his time. He could sing, dance act, or tell jokes. He was the ultimate entertainer.)
Sammy said that he got on a bus and the driver told him he would have to move to the back of the bus because he was Black. He then told the driver that he was really Jewish. The bus driver said that was completely different and ordered him off the bus. I’ll never forget that.
I do have to wonder if they didn’t launch his boat because there was no time or whether it was because he was married to Whitmer.
Just last week after Whitmer begged the citizens of Michigan not to go to their summer homes, her husband’s car was spotted at their summer home and some suggested she was there also.
In March crazed Democrat Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer prohibited big-box retailers from in-person sale of seeds because according to her, plant seeds were non-essential.
Whitmer also called on Home Depot and Lowes to close off certain sections like flooring, garden centers and plant nurseries.
The tyrannical governor of Michigan also barred grocery stores and brick-and-mortar retailers from selling vegetable seeds because she could.
In late March Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer limited access of doctors from prescribing the lifesaving drugs hydroxychloroquine and Z-Paks to save senior citizens in the state from Coronavirus. Then she continued to send coronavirus patients to nursing homes. This is still happening in May!
And in her latest unexplainable move the far left governor banned motorboats and jet skis but canoes and sailboats were acceptable.
