Creepy Porn Lawyer Michael Avenatti Convicted On All Counts Trying To Extort Nike

On Friday, disgraced creepy porn lawyer Michael Avenatti was convicted on all counts for attempting to extort $25 million from Nike over claims it illegally funneled payments to college basketball players.

Avenatti became famous for representing Stormy Daniels, a porn star, in a failed lawsuit against President Donald Trump, and was found guilty of honest services fraud, attempted extortion, and interstate communications violations.

This loser is still waiting for an April 21 trial at the same courthouse for supposedly stealing close to $300,000 from the porn star tied to the 2018 publication of her best-selling memoir called “Full Disclosure.”

As if that's not enough, the creep is also looking at a third federal trial in California, after being accused of ripping off five clients, one of whom is a paraplegic, on top of scamming bank loans, lying during bankruptcy proceedings, and evading taxes.

From the New York Post:

Prosecutors have said his alleged one-man crime wave was prompted by lavish spending on luxuries — including a $12 million, oceanfront home in Laguna Beach, Calif., a $5 million private jet, a Porsche and a Ferrari — that left him at least $11 million in debt.

Evidence in the Nike case included an audio recording of Avenatti profanely threatening to “take $10 billion off [the company’s] market cap” if he wasn’t paid at least $15 million to conduct an internal probe of the sportswear giant.

“I’m not f–-king around with this. … A few million dollars doesn’t move the needle for me,” he said during one of three phone calls with a Nike lawyer in March 2019.

The loudmouth lawyer — who used his celebrity as a cable-TV news guest to explore a presidential campaign in 2018 — repeatedly predicted that he would be “fully exonerated” of all the allegations against him and even pleaded “100 percent not guilty!” during his arraignment in the Nike case.

But Avenatti declined to testify in his own defense after Judge Paul Gardephe ruled that he could be cross-examined about his “desperate financial condition” and accusations of “lies and deceit” unrelated to the criminal charges against him.

After being freed on a $300,000 bond, a California judge last month ordered his bail revoked after finding out Avenatti received $1 million in legal fees after his arrest back in March and hid that income from his ex-wife, creditors and tax collectors.  Yikes!  The long arm of the law nailed him while he was attending a hearing to have his California law license suspended.

Folks, this is the same man that CNN and MSNBC Fake News anchors and pundits, and also Bill Maher, fawned all over because they thought he would be the golden child who could beat President Trump in 2020.
