It's gotten to the point where it's now embarrassing… for the rest of us… because she doesn't seem to be savvy enough to realize she should be embarrassed, so we are for her.
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) (AOC) is the Democrat's darling of the Left, and she is supposed to transform the world with her Green New Deal, someone who is supposed to be intelligent enough to redesign the country by every known facet, yet it seems like a horse can crap anywhere in the continental United States, and within minutes AOC would find a way to step in it, betraying her own ignorance of pretty much everything she talks about.
AOC's latest economic flub should have completely embarrassed Boston University, the higher learning institution she apparently received a bachelor’s degree in economics.
You would never know it considering her complete lack of understanding of capitalism, economic development, trade, or poverty on a global scale.
AOC also lacks the ability to do basic math when it comes to her socialist propositions. It's like she throws out everything she has learned about economics and substituted it with a socialist-engineered wish list.
This weekend, AOC proved she is owed a refund by BU, after she very unfortunately referred to the economist John Maynard Keynes, famous for Keynesian economics, as Milton Keynes, which is not a famous economist, but a British town north of London.
Apparently, as far as we can tell, the bobblehead Congresswoman from New York mixed up John Maynard Keynes with Milton Friedman, two diametrically ideologically opposed economic scholars. Who are her staffers that they would have allowed this to happen?
.@AOC, who routinely boasts about her economics degree, confused John Maynard Keynes with Milton Friedman.

AOC's level of ignorance denies belief in a Benevolent Being.
From the Washington Examiner:
Of course, it’s perhaps not shocking to see these kinds of mistakes from the same congresswoman whose initial Green New Deal draft promised to provide “economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work” and to eliminate “cow farts.” But it’s the frequency of the congresswoman’s errors that is truly striking.
Her latest mistake comes after just on Friday, Ocasio-Cortez put on her global analyst hat and declared that “decolonization,” “indigenous rights,” and “climate action” should form the basis of our foreign policy. We’re told the congresswoman is a serious person we’re supposed to take seriously, but she seems determined to put the lie to that with every ridiculous tweet or fact-free, woke Instagram Live rant-session she goes on.
Her career is really becoming a comedy of errors at this point. These two hilarious missteps come in the same week Ocasio-Cortez, a former bartender now serving in Congress, (which is quite a feat) declared, “It is a physical impossibility to lift yourself up by a bootstrap, by your shoelaces. It’s physically impossible. The whole thing is a joke!”
Not only did she mistakenly label the idiom a metaphor and oddly hone in on the literalness of this remark, but she also totally missed the irony of her being the messenger for such a statement. And her position that people can't lift themselves up in American life is one that’s at odds with economic reality, anyhow.
No, @AOC did not *literally* lift herself up by her bootstraps.
But @BecketAdams wonders, if she is too dim-witted to recognize that she is proof of the mentality she now denounces, if she has actually tried to physically lift herself by her shoelaces.https://t.co/PKAma1Rouu

Twitter gave some responses to her Keynes rant.
It's a travesty. Maybe this is why there's a push on socialist agenda to forgive student debt… Some sort of penance to rid themselves of the guilt for sleeping through classes.

There’s no way to convey in writing how hard I’m laughing! I think I’m gonna call Boston University and grill them on what they’re teaching their students because AOC cannot pass a high school level economics test guaranteed! I think they just gave her a degree so she’d leave!

She would be such a great pornstar

Yep. Welcome to Milton Keynes: a sort of Schrodinger’s cat for Economics. pic.twitter.com/Swauv8pdw9

Can BU put out a disclaimer for all their Econ degree graduates?

It's amazing how the mind of a complete idiot functions. There should be studies conducted.

Her ignorance has sparked a lot of memes on social media.
It's amazing how the mind of an idiot functions. AOC and her constant gaffes of even the simplest of things made her very popular on Twitter with over 6 million followers, many of which just want to see the next dumb thing she says. She has used that popularity to attack Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to push for the impeachment of Donald Trump.
When you can get 6 million equivalent idiots screaming at Democratic leadership, it begs the question of who is the real Speaker and leader of the House Democrats.
